Synesthesia: Music and colors

Music. Colors. Hope. SYNESTHESIA.

Synesthesia is the ability to perceive colors in sounds. In this multi-disciplinary concert of classical music (piano and voice) and visual arts, we'll bear witness to this fusion.

In this concert, mezzo-soprano Mariana De la Rosa will offer us joyful music of different origins, while contemporary paintings by visual artist Étienne Saint-Amant will become dynamic projections. The colors of the synesthetic interpretation of each musical piece will be imprinted in these visual works, making this concert a unique experience. We'll be able to let ourselves go with pieces by Schubert, Fauré, Glinka and Yamada, among others. But also, smile and move to others like "O sole mio", "Rossignol" and the colorful "Brasil".

  • Synesthesia: Music and Color will be an opportunity to remind us how music can unite us as humanity. An occasion to remind us how music and the arts can nourish our souls. An occasion to celebrate that we're here, to celebrate life.

    Main topics:

    • World unity (represented in the various languages of the pieces).

    • Synesthesia: colors derived from the synesthetic observations of Hector Torres and imprinted in the works of Étienne Saint-Amant. This subject represents the richness and cohesion between different artistic currents.

    • Hope: printed in a rather cheerful and positive repertoire.

    • Tribute to the victims of social injustice: Amazing grace.

  • Frühlingsglaube - F. Schubert

    O sole mio - E. di Capua

    Marecchiare - F.P.Tosti

    Aka Tombo - K. Yamada

    Brasil - A. Barroso
